A reminder for students regarding school travel cards
We know that there is a lot to think about before the summer holidays and want to send a reminder to you who are a student or guardian to a student who goes to primary or upper secondary school and travels with a school card with Länstrafiken.
Elementary school
If your child goes to primary school, the card must be kept over the summer until he or she receives a new card from the school after the summer is over. Please note that if the card is not filled out in on the back, it is invalid to travel with. A new application for a school card must be made to your home municipality before each new school year.

Upper secondary school
If you go to high school and will continue to do so during the next school year, you will need to keep your card over the summer. You travel on your old card for the school year 24/25 to the school on the first day until you receive a new card from the school for the school year 25/26. Check with your municipality if you need to apply for a School Card.
