Single tickets are valid for one-way trips between two specific stops. If you are traveling by city bus within Örebro or Lindesberg city, you can transfer to another bus or make a return trip within 1 hour using the same ticket. The same applies if you are traveling by city and regional bus within Karlskoga municipality.

Your last journey must start before the ticket ends but it may finish after the time has ended.

If you want to travel by train, you can buy a single ticket with Tåg i Bergslagen and Västtåg/Kinnekulletåget.

Single tickets for Närtrafik are valid for your booked trip and are valid for 1 hour. The trip must start before the ticket expires. You may finish your trip even if the ticket expires during the journey. We recommend that you buy the ticket in the app just before you are picked up. The minimum age to travel with Närtrafik without a guardian or adult is 12 years.

If you change between buses and trains

You may receive an övergångsavdrag (transfer deduction) on your single ticket when you change to another bus, to a train, or when you return by regional bus.

If you need to travel with a connection between regional and/or express buses, we recommend that you buy the entire journey on the first bus.

Here you can read more about what to do, as it depends on which buses or trains you change between.

Transfer between buses and trains
  • Between regional buses

When making a journey where you need to change from one regional bus to another, you must buy a ticket all the way to your final destination when you get on the first bus. This will make sure you get the best price.

  • Between city buses

On a single ticket, you travel freely for 1 hour by city bus within Örebro and Lindesberg. In Karlskoga, free travel for 1 hour applies to the entire Karlskoga municipality. Save the ticket and show it at each boarding.

  • From regional to city bus and vice versa

From a regional bus to a city bus

When you start your journey on a regional bus, a city bus journey is automatically included. This applies if there is a city bus connection at the stop where you get off the regional bus and will continue your journey directly. The maximum transfer time to the city bus varies depending on how far you are travelling by regional bus.

From a city bus to a regional bus

Ask the bus driver on board the city bus for a ticket for your entire journey. You can also show your city bus ticket to the driver of the regional bus. Then you will get a discount on your single ticket for the regional bus.

  • Transfer to and from train

From train to city bus and vice versa

When you start your journey by train, a city bus journey is automatically included. This applies if there is a city bus stop where you get off the train. If you bought your train ticket with our travel card, a transfer to a city bus is always included. The transfer time depends on how far you travel by train.

On the city bus, tell the driver that you want to buy a ticket for your whole journey to your final destination. To use the ticket on the train, it must be loaded as an electronic ticket on a travel card. The driver will help you with this on the city bus.

From train to regional bus and vice versa

To continue your journey by train after a regional bus, you need to buy the whole journey when you get on the bus. The ticket must be loaded as an electronic ticket on your Travel card.

Your transfer to the train must start before the time shown on your ticket, and you must register your train journey in the yellow ticket machine on the platform.

A transfer from the train to a regional bus is possible. The transfer must start before the time shown on your ticket.

  • Regional bus across county border

A transfer from one of our regional buses to another public transport company is not possible. You will need to buy a new ticket from that company. However, we do have some cooperation across county borders.

    Collaborations across counties
