You find the terms here!

To make the bus ride enjoyable for everyone, we kindly request that you keep the following in mind:

Signal clearly to the driver so that she or he can see that you want to get on. Ideally, you should wear reflectors when it is dark. If you do not have a reflector, please get in touch with our Customer Service, and we will send one to you.

When two or more buses stop at a bus stop at the same time, the rear bus will move forward and stop again. All subsequent buses should pull up to the stop for boarding.

Please move further back in the bus. When there are a large number of passengers on the bus, it is important to show extra consideration, especially for those who are getting on and off. There is often more space at the back of the bus, and we recommend that when boarding you to sit or stand as far back in the bus as possible.

Strong fragrance – (such as perfume) can trigger asthma. Please avoid when travelling with us.

Eating on the bus – For the comfort of others you must not eat on the bus or:

  • drink alcohol or smoke
  • bring explosive items on board
  • ride roller-skates, inlines or a skateboard
  • put your feet on the seats or other fittings

Anyone who is intoxicated may not be allowed to travel or may be asked to leave the bus. The same goes for those who are considered to be causing discomfort to fellow passengers.

How it works on board

There are rules regarding what you may bring with you on the bus journey. These rules may vary slightly depending on the service you are travelling with. When travelling with us, you accept the rules outlined in our general travel terms and conditions.

Once on board
  • Luggage on board

You can bring your luggage on board our buses free of charge. Luggage means an item that you can carry yourself and fit by your seat or on the overhead rack. Your luggage must not:

    • obstruct other passengers
    • take up seats
    • block emergency exits
    • obscure the driver’s view
    • obstruct the driver or affect on-board safety in any other way
    • not be disruptive or annoying to others
    • not be inflammable or explosive

Large suitcases and items of luggage are accepted subject to space being available and are then stored in the luggage compartment.

As a passenger you are responsible for your own luggage. Tip! Clearly label your luggage with your name, address and phone number in case you leave it on the bus.

  • Pets on buses

You may bring a dog, cat or other small pet on board free of charge. Your pet must not cause trouble for your fellow passengers and it must be on a lead or in a cage throughout the journey.

You are responsible for your pet. If you bring a furred pet onto the bus, listen to the bus driver’s instructions regarding the best place for you and your pet to sit.

Larger animals are not permitted on buses.

  • Prams/buggies and safety on the bus

You can bring your pram/buggy on board our buses free of charge.

Prams share the same space in the bus as walkers and wheelchairs. They can therefore be taken if space allows. No category has precedence over the other.

It is the bus driver who decides how many prams can be taken without risking safety.

You must not place a pram so that other passengers are obstructed or the escape route is blocked.

You who travel with a pram are responsible for the pram and its safety. The pram must be fastened and locked with a brake during the journey. Do not leave the baby in the pram during the trip.

    Seat belts for all seats

By law, all bus passengers over the age of 3 must wear a seat belt if one is available. Our regional and express buses are fitted with three-point seat belts which are easy and convenient to use.

The buses in the north, south and west of the county also have loose booster cushions for children to help the seat belt fit correctly.

City buses are not fitted with seat belts.

    Fixed child safety seats

We have fitted most of our regional and express buses with special rear-facing child safety seats, similar to those used in cars. Please note that there may be exceptions, as sometimes it is necessary to use different buses on certain routes.

The child safety seats are suitable for children up to 18 kg and have five-point belts for extra safety. The seats are integrated into the back of the back supports on regular seats, and they are very easy to use – the back support folds forward to ensure that the child safety seat is at the correct angle.

Each bus has two integrated child safety seats that are clearly indicated in a contrasting colour. The colour may vary depending on the bus model.

We do not have child safety seats on the following routes or service:

    • City buses in Karlskoga, Lindesberg and Örebro
    • Flextraffic in Karlskoga
    • Local Services (Närtrafik)
    • Route 308 Lindesberg - Kopparberg
    • Route 324 Örebro - Fellingsbro
    • Route 351 Lindesberg - Arboga
    • Route 353 Lindesberg - Guldsmedshyttan - Storå - Ramsberg
    • Route 593 Karlskoga - Laxå
  • Wheelchair and walker

You can bring a wheelchair or a walker on board our buses free of charge.

The wheelchair and the walker share space with prams in the bus. They can therefore be taken only if space allows. No category has precedence over the other. It is the bus driver who decides how many wheelchairs and walkers can be taken without risking safety.

Wheelchairs and walkers may not be placed in a way that they obstruct other passengers or block emergency exits.

Anyone travelling with a pram/buggy or walking frame is responsible for the pram or walking frame and its safety.

The wheelchair must be locked with a brake in the designated place. During the trip, the traveller can ride in a wheelchair.

    Wheelchair allowed on board

We accept manual and electric wheelchairs with the following maximum dimensions: Total length: 1,200 mm, Total width, measured in the widest place: 700 mm, Weight: 300 kg which includes both weelchair and passenger. This according to Swedish Public Transport's recommendations.

Three-wheeled electric wheelchairs with handlebars (electric scooter) can not be taken as they are considered unstable vehicles.

The rules regarding wheelchairs and walkers are decided in our travel conditions.

    Our travel terms and conditions

  • On-board accessibility

Most of the buses are adapted for people with disabilities. There are, for example, seats on buses designated for people with disabilities. These seats can be used by all passengers, but we recommend that other passengers leave room for those who need the seats the most.

The buses have a low step and can be lowered so that the floor is level with the pavement. This makes boarding easier for passengers with wheelchairs and walking frames, as well as those with prams/buggies. If necessary, the driver can help you get on and off. The bus driver is also happy to assist you with paying.

Wheelchairs, walking frames and similar technical aids can be brought on board free of charge, space permitting. Wheelchairs/walking frames and prams/buggies share the same area.

We accept wheelchairs with the following maximum dimensions in accordance with the Swedish Public Transport Association (Svensk kollektivtrafik) recommendations:

    • Total length: 1,200 mm
    • Total width (at the widest point): 700 mm
    • Weight: 300 kg (chair + passenger)

If necessary, you may remain seated in your wheelchair during the journey. The wheelchair must be placed in the designated area and with the brake applied. Buses also have wheelchair brackets. In buses with special back supports, the wheelchair must be positioned so that it is rear facing. Where securing devices are available for wheelchairs, walking frames or other technical aids, they must be used.

  • Wifi on the bus

We offer free WiFi on the following routes:

    • Route 500 Örebro - Karlskoga
    • Route 700 Örebro - Askersund

Sometimes we need to deploy buses on the above routes that do not have wifi, for example if a bus breaks down.

How to connect to our free WiFi:

    • Activate WiFi on your device (phone, tablet or computer).
    • Connect it to the network called “LansTrafiken”.
    • Follow the instructions that automatically appear in the login tool.
