If you wish to travel using Färdtjänst you will need a permit. The permit for Färdtjänst applies to journeys within the entire Örebro county and 30 km outside the county border. If you need to make longer journeys, you can apply Riksfärdtjänst.

Apply for a permit
It is Region Örebro län that handles applications and decides on permits. Information about what is required to be able to use Färdtjänst is available at 1177 Healthcare Guide. You can apply for a Färdtjänst permit via 1177 Healthcare Guide e-services.
If you want to apply for a Period pass for work, position as an elected representative or for study purposes, you can do it at 1177.

When you call Serviceresor, you will have four menu options:
- Press 1 if you want to cancel a journey or locate your vehicle.
- Press 2 if you want to book or rebook a journey.
- Press 3 to contact an administrator for sjukresor.
- Open on non‑holiday Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday between 10:00 and 12:00.
- Press 4 for questions about Färdtjänst, invoices or if you want to leave a comment.
- Open on non‑holiday Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 14:00.
