Buses without steps, specially trained drivers and better information. We are trying to adapt our buses and services to ensure that they can be used by everyone.

Most of the buses are adapted for people with disabilities. There are, for example, seats on buses designated for people with disabilities.

The buses have a low step and can be lowered so that the floor is level with the pavement. This makes boarding easier for passengers with wheelchairs and walking frames, as well as those with prams/buggies. If necessary, the driver can help you get on and off. The bus driver is also happy to assist you with paying.

Wheelchairs, walking frames and similar technical aids can be brought on board free of charge, space permitting. Wheelchairs/walking frames and prams/buggies share the same area.

We accept wheelchairs with the following maximum dimensions in accordance with the Swedish Public Transport Association (Svensk kollektivtrafik) recommendations:

  • Total length: 1,200 mm
  • Total width (at the widest point): 700 mm
  • Weight: 300 kg (chair + passenger)

If necessary, you may remain seated in your wheelchair during the journey. The wheelchair must be placed in the designated area and with the brake applied. Buses also have wheelchair brackets. In buses with special back supports, the wheelchair must be positioned so that it is rear facing. Where securing devices are available for wheelchairs, walking frames or other technical aids, they must be used.
