The foot bridge at Örebro southern station was ready this week
The Swedish Transport Administration has built a footbridge at Örebro southern station. It is built primarily to increase the safety of pedestrians crossing the tracks. The pedestrian bridge, which was completed on Wednesday 29 May, is built of steel and has screens on the side of the bridge to reduce the risk of travelers losing things on the track area.
It is installed a higher and stronger fence that will counteract pedestrian running over the tracks. Along with clearer signals, the fence will reduce the risk of accidents.
The development of the railway area is a collaboration between the Swedish Transport Administration, Örebro Municipality and Region Örebro County.
